Open Question: Introducing new Puppy to Three Year old Dog-Unfriendly cat-help, PLEASE?
Reason I am listing it under cats? Because this is a question for cat people who know how to handle cats seriously, because I want to make this as comfortable for him as possible, and I am hoping he will live happily coexisting with other pets. We are (my fiance and I) animal people and now that we have the option to add more, we really want to. I am getting a puppy soon. I have a three year old neutered male cat, who doesn't get along with dogs-or really other cats for that matter. I don't want to have my cat hate living at home and stop coming around, so I really need a safe way to introduce the puppy. Luckily, I have a bit of time before bringing puppy home. I don't know if this will factor in, but it probably will because it's probably going to have him stressed out already-we're moving. I know that that's a lot to toss onto my poor kitty all at once, and I think this is too much, but my fiance is going to add another cat to our household too. I really don't want to make him distant, (as he always is when other animals are around me.. Note: I got him with his brother when he was 8 weeks old. His brother wasn't social, and he was, so he didn't have to share me (we didn't have other pets.) Well, then my mom brought home a new cat two years later, my cat's brother ran away, my cat was just grumpy but otherwise ignored then got over the new cat (she likes to be ALONE.. No people or other animals to bother her.) Well, then my roomate got another cat and my cat disappeared-but I don't know if it was because he wanted to, or because he got hurt. He was missing for a month and when he came back he was stick thin and had a splintered rib poking out, tenting his skin-it didn't actually break through. Looked really unhealthy. Well, now he is okay and affectionate with us-when the newest kitty isn't in the room. If he is, you can pretty much forget my cat letting you pet him.. And he gets like this around dogs too. He seems to do better with puppies (my roomate's friend brings hers over.. And while he gets huffy and bats at and hisses at the puppy, he is curious about him and sniffs at him, and still tries to see what the puppy is doing.. Which is why I have hope. BUT... This puppy is not interested in my cat. He pretty much ignores him when my cat sniffs at him (I think it's because he knows that if he tries to acknowledge my cat, that he's going to get boxed lol.) Anyhow, I am going to work with a reputable breeder to make sure I get as mellow of a puppy as I can who will have grown up with cats during the first eight-twelve weeks and won't freak out over him. But.. How do I do this? With all that's in the post, I hope you understand my cat some so you can decide the way that you think best. Thanks.
Open Question: Camping places in Rouen (NORMANDY REGION OF FRANCE)?
I have a french project to do and for some reason we have to find a camping area ( like traditional camping; tents and all that fun stuff) in Rouen, Normandy (france) All I found was hotels XD
